Growing olives is a pillar of the Tunisian economy. I was born in a familly of olive growers and I often hear them complaining about the challenges they are facing : diseases detected too late, non-reliable harvest management and estimation. This is due to the fact that most of Tunisian farmers use traditional methods based on human experience. I understood that an effective solution was needed to anticipate diseases and the harvest. My idea is to combine the use of drone equiped with multispectral camera with AI to offer agriculture precision service to framers allowing them to manage more efficiently their activity. My company SDrone will offer on-demand agricultural drone service, customizable according to each farmer's needs. The service adapts to the farm and the farmer. The drone performs various missions : mapping, early disease detection, and estimating water or fertilizer needs. Each intervention is tailored to the specific need and the results are presented via an app. In the future we plan to develop a spraying drone service following disease detection, design a smart automatic irrigation system that would adjust watering based on data collected by the drone, and expand our services to other crops such as citrus and cereals.
