مشروع: Refuge 4 Rights

Initially, our team wanted to create an initiative that addresses a local issue that personally resonates with us. During our research, we discovered that Jordan is one of the countries hosting the highest number of refugees in the world, yet the refugee crisis and its educational challenges are rarely highlighted in schools or within the wider community. We realized that refugee youth often lack access to educational support, mentorship opportunities, and platforms that help them integrate and develop their skills. As a result, we created “Refuge4Rights,” a digital safe haven and educational platform designed specifically for refugee youth in Jordan. The platform connects refugee students with volunteer tutors from schools and universities across the country, providing free online tutoring sessions in subjects such as Arabic, English, mathematics, and science. In addition, the platform offers interactive educational games, peer mentorship chatrooms, progress tracking, and skill-building initiatives that encourage both learning and personal growth. Refuge4Rights is unique because it combines education, mentorship, and community engagement in one accessible platform while also empowering Jordanian students to become active volunteers and changemakers through CAS projects and university volunteering opportunities. By creating meaningful connections between refugee youth and local students, the initiative promotes educational equality, strengthens community integration, improves language and academic skills, and builds confidence among refugee students. Our long-term vision is to expand the platform beyond Jordan to other refugee-hosting countries such as Lebanon and Turkey, allowing refugee youth across the region to access quality educational support. We also aim to introduce an affordable premium version in the future that provides private tutoring services while maintaining free educational access for all refugee students.
